A homeless traveler living in a tree house in northern Italy is forced to wander when a drought reduces the country’s greatest river Po to dunes.

We meet hopeful farmers cultivating for the future and scientists trying to understand it and wander out into the glorious countryside described by the poet Virgil.

The Sky is A River is a film poem made in the thick of the fog of today. We plod in the river mud, among the beautiful ruins and the people trying to navigate it.

In the swish of todays strange world the sky is a river of the world belonging to us all.
